One of the Elmer’s from the upcoming Elmers Big Parade trail has stopped off to see pupils at Farlingaye High School.
To celebrate already raising over £1,800 for the St Elizabeth Hospice Elmer Appeal, Big Elmer called in at Farlingaye High School to thank some of the students.
He visited some of the classes and stopped by the library, where students held a Readathon last week to coincide with World Book Day.
All funds raised at the event went to the hospice.
The school is supporting the trail by fundraising for their own small Elmer which will join other school’s contributions on the trail when it goes on show in Ipswich in the summer.
A spokesman for the school said: “The school’s own young Elmer is currently being painted in preparation for the display at the Big Parade from June onwards.
“Farlingaye will continue to fundraise until the deadline on May 31, 2019.”
