Children at Ipswich Hospital's children's ward will see their wishes to Santa come true - thanks to a care home's generous donation of presents.

Each year, Grove Court care home in Woodbridge fulfills a wish list that the children have compiled.

Having raised £600 at its Christmas fayre, it donated £300 for the latest toys for the children on the Bergholt Children's Ward.

Gemma Read, social event leader at Grove Court care home, said: "We shared the money between our social fund for the residents and the toy fund.

"We bought toys from newborn to teenager. We always buy the latest toys, the things that will be on the children's wish-lists.

"The play workers wrap them and distribute them over Christmas."
