It takes more than a gust of wind to keep the Sae Wylfing down
Although it was a blustery day, that didn't stop the half-size replica Sutton Hoo ship from attending the annual memorial flower show at Benhall near Saxmundham at the weekend.
Defying the weather warnings, this was her first appearance at the show and she didn't disappoint.
Taking centre stage in the middle of the squally field, the Sae Wylfing delighted parents as much as it did the children and attracted many visitors curious about the replica boat and her history.
Donning swords, shields and Sutton Hoo inspired helmets, children treaded the boards of the boat channeling their inner Anglo-Saxon.
As well as entertainment from the Samboomba Drum Band, Poloz Majorettes and Diddy Nicky the Stilt Walker, a Suffolk Punch horse by the name of Aspall stood magnificently on show.
Sae Wylfing's next stop is at FolkEast this weekend, as the three-day bohemian extravaganza gets under way this Friday at Glemham Hall in Little Glemham near Woodbridge.
