Visitors to the Woodbridge Air Show in 1976 were able to get a very close up view of the planes and helicopters in order to help them snap the perfect picture.

Attendees were able to relax in the sunshine on what looks to have been a warm summers day and watch the aircraft pass by. Younger visitors were also able to enjoy the thrills of sitting in the cockpits of some of the planes and gaze at the myriad of complex controls that kept them moving.

Who knows, maybe some of the youngsters pictured here were inspired to work as pilots or engineers themselves.

Do you remember going along to Woodbridge Air Show in 1976, or have we pictured you in our gallery?
