Shuck Fest 2018: Everything you need to know about the Woodbridge Shuck Festival

Celebrate all things fishy as the Woodbridge Shuck arrives at Whisstocks Place this weekend.
The festival will be taking place this weekend from 11am to 4pm each day and will be showing off the newly completed Whisstocks development for the annual seafood festival.
At the event, which is now in its seventh year, there will be freshly prepared food seafood meals, including ‘Land it - cook it - eat it’ where you can select your own fresh fish for the barbecue.
There will also be ready-to-eat shellfish including shucked oysters, lobsters, whelks and locally smoked fish.
For those who don’t want fish, a variety of other food stalls including The Cheese and Pie Man, Munchy Seeds and Stokes Sauces.
Drink stalls at the event include Suffolk Coffee Pod, Prosecco O’Clock’ and an alcohol and soft drinks bar.
Local pubs and restaurants will also be supporting the festival with special shellfish menus.
The event is run by The Shuck Shack, located in The Long Shed in Whisstocks Yard, which will be serving a four-course seafood menu on Friday and Saturday night at £40 per head.
Due to the weather, the majority of stalls will be indoors with the larger exhibits outside.
The Shellfish Festival is a family-friendly festival, providing entertainment for all ages.
Face painting will be taking place for the young (or the young at heart) and the Sae Wylfing half size replica of the Sutton Hoo Burial Ship will be on show for fans of history.
The event will also celebrate local talent, as many Suffolk acts take to the stage including Tilly and Isaac Dalglish, Harbour Lights Trio and Dusky Sunday.
Amongst a variety of stalls at the festival will be Maritime artist Claudia Myatt, Creekside Publishing with Robert Simper, fine and gift arts by Maria’s Arts and the Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
There will also be a themed art exhibition at Artspace Woodbridge.
